The Indian College of Nuclear Medicine (ICNM) is the academic wing of the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM), India. As per the mandate conferred  by the Society, the college is fully  devoted in academic  activities to the promotion, practice and advancement of  the science of Nuclear Medicine and related subjects including Health Physics, Radiobiology, Radio Pharmacy, Radioimmunoassay, medical electronics & Instrumentation and research using radiotracers.  ICNM also handles the responsibility to deal with all the academic matters, formulate the syllabus for UG/PG teaching and make suitable recommendations to the National Board of Examination, Medical Council of India, University Grant Commission and National Academy of Medical Sciences.

The college organizes 3-4 thematic seminars, symposia, workshops per annum in different parts of the country in clinical and basic Nuclear Medicine subjects.  As a customary -the first day of the annual conference of the Society, is always dedicated to CME organized by the Indian College of Nuclear Medicine. The college since its creation had been organizing very successful and informative meetings regularly.  These CME meetings in the past had been partnered mostly with  Indo-American SNM (IASNM). In the recent past, we have also arranged joint ICNM activities with other organizations like German Research Foundation (DFG-Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft), Asian Regional Co-operative council for Nuclear Medicine (ARCCNM), Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) and Indo-Swiss etc. In the current year, we are planning to do a ICNM meeting at the venue of SNMICON-15 (JIPMER, Pondicherry, India) jointly with RUSI (UK) and American College of Nuclear Medicine (USA). All these academic endeavours of the Indian College of Nuclear Medicine are of immense benefit to the young professionals and especially the students pursuing their career in Nuclear Medicine. The College would like to put on records our sincere thanks to the organizers and the ‘resource faculty’ for making the various ICNM-CMEs and workshops (being organized by us at different parts of the country) – a grand success. We would like to  invite the takers from different parts of the country to organize ICNM-CMEs at their Institutes and the ICNM will provide them help in arranging the ‘Resource Faculty‘ and other logistics.

The college recognizes the academic and research contributions made by Nuclear Medicine professionals by way of honouring them with ICNM- regular Membership/Fellowship scrolls, Emeritus Fellowships and Honorary Fellowships . The membership/Fellowship scrolls are awarded during the convocation of ICNM held annually at the venue of the annual conference of SNM, India. The College invites applications from the members of the society for becoming the members/fellows of the Indian College of Nuclear medicine for the year 2015.
